Catalyst

It swept through gusts and windtides
glided by heaven's shores
Witnessed love,
Witnessed justice,
Witnessed life's screeching sores

Past laughters and past butterflies
Above them all she soared
Lulled by bittersweet cotton
That caressed with gripping thorns

Sometimes cliffs would scatter
Dripping cold drips of scorn
But the seed just flew amongst them
For fear was yet unborn

Amidst the lurring current
For how to steer she did not know
A gushing darkness plunged her
Where all real was so no more

In a room so vast
So empty
So shaken to the core
Alike Alice, who had shrunken,
She only then began to grow
